Madrid have been long-term admirers of Van de Beek and were on the verge of signing him from Ajax in 2020 after being impressed by his role in Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-finals the year before, in which he helped eliminate Los Blancos.
However, when the pandemic hit the Spanish giants decided to save their funds and pulled out of the deal, opening the door for United to steal in and complete a £35million move.
Savings are available today from sports retailer Kitbag. The online store is getting a leap on the competition ahead of Black Friday, which this year lands on November 26.
