Real Madrid president Florentino Perez gave a blunt response to some of his club's fans when they asked him to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo told Manchester United just before the start of pre-season that he wished to leave the club if a 'reasonable offer' came in for his services.

A few days later, it was revealed the Portuguese ace would miss the start of pre-season due to 'family reasons'. Said 'family reasons' prevented the 37-year-old from joining Erik ten Hag's squad on their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

He did, however, play 45 minutes in their last friendly of the summer against Rayo Vallecano. ALSO READ: Keane sends Ten Hag message over Ronaldo future Ronaldo also came off the bench for United in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on the opening weekend of the season.
