Ralf Little is back tonight for brand new Death In Paradise. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what cases the writers have in store for the fish-out-of-water DI Neville Parker, but few know the real life mystery that inspired its creation a decade ago.

And while DI Parker pretty much always gets to the bottom of the fictional island St Maria's deepest and most elaborate crimes, the real life inspiration raises questions to this day.

A former England cricketer-turned-coach of great renown, Bob Woolmer, was found dead in his hotel bathroom in March 2007, in the Jamaican capital of Kingston.

The England star, who had retired from as a a player and taken on a role as the Pakistan national team's coach, was attending the World Cup in Jamaica.
