Friends and family gathered at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday to pay tribute to late rap star DMX. The 50-year-old's death sent shockwaves with the music community and fellow artists also in attendance at the moving memorial service.
The service was live streamed on DMX's YouTube channel. Prior to the event, streets were closed and lanes restricted to facilitate ceremonial journey across New York City which saw the star's red coffin carried on a monster truck.
The ceremony itself began with a throwback video of the rapper - real name Earl Simmons - and his daughter displayed onscreen, which captured the two riding on a rollercoaster.
