Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Rangers are about to face. Steven Gerrard has barely put a foot wrong in Europe during a storied career as a player and manager but his 11-match unbeaten run in qualifying matches is on the line.
Malmo's five-minute whirlwind that secured them a shock 2-0 advantage left Rangers on the ropes last week in Sweden before Steven Davis grabbed a late consolation.
And that's where 50,000 supporters come in as Ibrox welcomes it's first full crowd since the pandemic hit as Scottish football shows fresh signs of life.No away goals means Rangers need to win by two clear to go through in normal time but any one goal advantage means we will be heading for extra time and even a potential penalty shoot-out.
