Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Rangers to "flip the mood" around Ibrox by getting back to winning ways against Dunfermline on Friday. The Premiership champions have had a rocky start to the season, losing three matches in a row for the first time under the Liverpool legend.

A second half collapse saw them dumped out of the Champions League by Malmo on Tuesday, and Rangers are right back in domestic competition in the Premier Sports Cup.

Gerrard is yet to win a cup competition since taking over as manager, and after a run of poor results will be taking no chances against the Pars.The hosts will field a strong team as they look to arrest their slide and bring back the feel-good factor from last season.
