Rangers flop Oleg Salenko made a baseless claim the Ibrox side have written off Dynamo Kyiv in the battle of his former clubs – as it emerged incoming Ibrox man Robin Propper was subjected to DEATH THREATS earlier in his career.Propper is set to be unveiled in Glasgow before the weekend after sealing a move from FC Twente, who he joined from bitter rivals Heracles three years ago which went down extremely badly with fans of his previous club.
Propper will be hoping to help Rangers into the Champions League as Philippe Clement’s men face Kyiv in the third qualifying round after they romped past Partizan Belgrade 9-2 on aggregate. And Salenko – who spent a season at Ibrox in the mid-1990s after he was a star at the World Cup in USA for Russia and scored five goals in a game – claimed Rangers are already preparing for the play-offs because they are so confident of beating the Ukrainians.
The first leg is in Poland next week before the return at Hampden Park. He said: "I have heard Rangers are already preparing for the next round and they have full confidence they will get past Dynamo.
They are also significantly strengthening their squad for the new season. Dynamo should be very aware this Rangers side are very determined."My advice to the Dynamo players is to run for 180 minutes until they are completely exhausted because that's what they will have to do if they want to beat the Scots.
