Rangers legend branded 'one of my heroes' by fellow Ibrox icon as clubs pours in with support amid 'difficult time'

The world of football has gathered around Andy Goram after the Rangers icon's cancer diagnosis.Nicknamed 'The Goalie' during his playing days, the 58-year-old has helped Cambuslang Rangers as a coach this season in their title-winning West of Scotland Football League Conference B campaign.Goram was part of Rangers' nine-in-a-row winning team and won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups with the Light Blues.He also turned out for Oldham, Motherwell, Hibs and Manchester United, among others.Fellow Ibrox icon Barry Ferguson, speaking on Go Radio, says the former goalkeeper has his well-wishes: "Growing up a Rangers supporter he was certainly one of my heroes."Fantastic goalkeeper.
