Rangers have reportedly held talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a glamour pre season friendly game at Ibrox. The Ibrox side look set to relinquish their Scottish Premiership crown but summer plans are underway to prepare for the 2022/23 campaign.
And that includes the prospect of a match against the North London outfit to help them get up to speed for competitive action.
A report in Football London states "Spurs have been planning for a pre-season with two games to be played in South Korea, talks held over a friendly against Rangers in Glasgow on their return and then a match in Israel against a European opponent the weekend before the Premier League season begins.” The Ibrox side faced Tottenham’s bitter north London rivals Arsenal in a pre-season game at Ibrox at the start of last season as the sides battled out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Spurs are currently locked in a battle for fourth place in the English Premier League with the Gunners as they chase a Champions League spot.
