Rangers and Celtic B team derby postponed as Ibrox showdown put off until fans can return

Rangers have confirmed their other derby match against Celtic has been postponed – as the B team clash in the Lowland League is put off for another day.

The match will be the first meeting between the two young sides since this season's pilot project in the fifth tier of Scottish football began.A good crowd was expected at Ibrox to give the young stars a taste of a big derby atmosphere, with the game moved from the original venue of Dumbarton for that reason.But David McCallum and Tommy McIntyre must wait as it was agreed the game - pencilled in for Hogmanay - should be postponed until fans can attend.

It comes after the Premiership champions and their title rivals go into cold storage until mid-January with the SPFL's winter break coming
