BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Dundee was dealt a blow after Thirty Seconds to Mars cancelled their performance due to “technical difficulties”.The crowd was eagerly awaiting their performance but the group failed to appear on stage an hour after their scheduled slot, which left festival-goers gutted.

Around 85,000 revellers are in attendance at Camperdown Park. A message confirming the tech issues was displayed on screens at either side of the main stage before a member of staff eventually emerged to confirm that their performance had been ditched, reports the Sun.Fans have since taken to social media to complain about the glitch, writing: “Seven hours I’ve driven for Radio 1’s Big Weekend just to see Thirty Seconds To Mars perform and now they’re not."The fan added: "I might cry.

Fuming is an understatement."Thirty Seconds to Mars, formed in 1998, were due to take to the stage for half an hour.An announcer said: “I don’t have good news Dundee.“I didn’t want to come out and do this.“I want to explain to you.“Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties Thirty Seconds To Mars won’t be able to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend today.”The 'techincal fault' was reportedly fixed in times for Jess Glynne's slotstage, ahead of the 1975 headlining tonight.
