Countdown star Rachel Riley has revealed she has not been tuning into Strictly Come Dancing this year after developing PTSD as a result of her time spent on the show in 2013.
Despite meeting her true love while appearing on the dancing series, Rachel said she was left needing cognitive behavioral therapy after the experience left her suffering from anxiety attacks.
Speaking in an interview with OK! Magazine, she said: ‘No [I’m not watching Strictly], I needed cognitive behavioural therapy after competing in 2013 and developed post-traumatic stress disorder.’ ‘If I heard the theme music, I’d start reliving the experience.
