Rabbi Matondo admits not even Michael Beale or his Rangers team-mates have seen him hit his highest levels. But the determined winger is convinced he can still reach them at Ibrox and insists major life experiences have helped him handle a tricky start to life in Glasgow.
Matondo could get another outing against Morton in today’s Viaplay Cup clash after impressing on his first appearance of the season seven days ago against Livingston.
The 22-year-old was warmly received by the home faithful as he looks to take big steps forward from his maiden campaign at the club.
Signed by Gio van Bronckhorst last summer Matondo had high hopes. However, with 17 of his 28 appearances coming from the bench in a campaign where the Dutchman left to be replaced by Beale, it wasn’t an easy baptism.
