But they said ‘no’, and he’s threatening to sue the government. Harry lost the privilege of protection (costing about £80,000 a week) two years ago when he quit royal duties.
And if carries out his threat, he’ll get no backing from the Queen. A royal source told The Sun: “Her Majesty certainly won’t cave in to his demands.
Who gets protection is not a gift the Queen can decide to give or take away. It is a matter for Her Majesty’s government.” The Queen has had another tiring and emotional year, from the death of her beloved husband Prince Philip, to Harry’s upcoming bombshell-filled memoir and ‘favourite son’ Prince Andrew facing a sex-abuse trial.
