Queen surrounded by family for Philip memorial – after sitting alone at funeral

The Queen put on a brave face in honour of her late husband Prince Philip as she attended the special memorial service at Westminster Abbey for him today.

After weeks of uncertainty over whether she would be able to attend, the 95 year old monarch lead her family as she arrived at the London venue ready to celebrate the Duke of Edinburgh's life.

Escorted by Prince Andrew down the aisle, the Royal sat next to her eldest son Prince Charles with a table in front of her. She looked as regal as ever in a dark green emerald buttoned coat, which featured a black velvet trim at the top.

The Queen wore a matching hat and accessorised with a brooch given to her by her late husband. She also wore her glasses and kept a walking stick by her side.
