Queen's children unite in grief at moving vigil for late monarch
ok.co.ukKing Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward came together this evening, Friday 16 September, to pay tribute to their mother.
Her Majesty the Queen died last week, and a series of memorial services and tributes have since taken place for the late monarch.The most recent to take place is this evening at Westminster Hall where her four children came together for a 15-minute vigil.The Queen is currently Lying-in-State there ahead of her funeral on Monday.The four siblings all came from Buckingham Palace together, but in separate cars.
Charles' car lead the police escorted convoy as the new was King seen waving at people as he passed. Upon their arrival, The King, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex mounted guard at the four corners of the catafalque in Westminster Hall.
All were in military uniform – including Prince Andrew who was stripped of his military titles last year. Other members of the Royal Family we also seen in attendance, including Zara and Mike Tindall and their daughters, Princess Beatrice, the Queen Consort Camilla, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
