Today officially marks the one year anniversary since the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II which plunged the devastated nation into a period of mourning for the country's longest reigning monarch. On September 8, Her Majesty passed away peacefully at her beloved Balmoral home in the Scottish Highlands at the age of 96, after 70 years of ruling Britain. Her death saw her eldest son Charles become King as he ascended the throne at the age of 73, in comparison to his late mother who was crowned Queen at just 27.

It notes that her time of death was at 3:10pm at Balmoral Castle in the Scottish Highlands. The confirmation of time shows that several members of the royal family didn't arrive at the castle in time to say goodbye to their beloved mother and grandmother.

However, the Princess Royal was already by her mother's side at Balmoral along with Charles and Camilla, who arrived at 10:30am.Buckingham Palace released a statement at 12:30pm saying that doctors were concerned for her health and recommended that she remained under medical supervision.O
