Queen’s Brian May slams deaths of NHS medics due to lack of PPE as a ‘national disgrace’

Queen star Brian May has dubbed the deaths of NHS staff due to the coronavirus pandemic a ‘national tragedy and disgrace’. The guitarist revealed his thoughts on the way the current pandemic has been handled, after several nurses, doctors and other NHS workers died due to coronavirus.

He revealed on Sky News: ‘I just wish we were taking better care of them. I wish they had proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and I wish they’d been better equipped. ‘Unfortunately, the NHS was run down for many years before this happened.

And this is the price we pay.  ‘The actual lives of these wonderful people who are putting themselves at risk every day.’ He added: ‘I can’t believe we’ve actually lost doctors and nurses, it’s a national tragedy
