A family has labelled a local pub "heartless" after it charged them £200 for cancelling a meal. Jamie Kitching, 38, and his wife Amy Kitching, 33, booked a meal at The Black Horse in Little Weighton, East Yorkshire, for her birthday.
The table had been booked for eight people for lunch on Sunday, February 12 and some close family members were due to attend.
However, on the morning prior to the meal, Amy was informed that one of her close family members due to attend the meal had collapsed on his kitchen floor and was being taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.
Ditching the lunch, Amy rushed to be at the family member's bedside while Jamie made sure to tell the restaurant they wouldn't be there, Hull Live reports.
