Hundreds of pro- independence activists have gathered to march in Glasgow urging Boris Johnson to resign following latest revelations about rule-breaking gatherings in Downing Street.
The All Under One Banner (AUOB) march kicked off at George Square and is proceeding towards Glasgow Green.Convened as an "emergency rally", the activists say the PM should go because "he partied while others died" and have demanded Scottish independence.
In a clip posted by the group on Twitter marchers chanted "Boris, Boris, Boris! Out, out, out!" as they walked down Glasgow's High Street en route to the meeting point by the Clyde.
In a statement issued prior to the gathering on Saturday morning, the group said: "Millions of people are furious that this Westminster Tory Government continues to line the pockets of their rich and powerful friends, whilst the rest of us face rising living costs and savage attacks on our NHS, pensions and public services. "It is time to take to the streets to demand Johnson must go and step up the fight to secure independence, which will in itself bring the end to Tory rule in Scotland once and for all. "The Indy movement and indeed the Scottish Govt must seize this moment to assert our right to get out of this rotten toxic union."
