The brother of Princess Diana has paid a loving to his late sister on what would have been her 61st birthday. Charles Spencer took to Instagram to share a photograph of one of the 90 plaques embedded across London which pay tribute to Princess Diana, and spoke of the "enduring impact" she has had on Britain.

Captioning the post, he said: "Yesterday I was crossing a park in London when I suddenly came across this in the pathway - one of the many that stud parts of the capital, in Diana’s memory. "Amazing to think of the enduring impact of a woman who died so young.Today - 25 years on - would have been her 61st birthday." The plaque he shared was part of a seven-mile memorial walk for Diana, Princess of Wales, which takes you within sight of famous buildings and locations associated with the Princess' life.

On the walk, you pass through four of the eight Royal Parks; St James's Park, Green Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens.

You also pass three palaces and two mansions which played a part in Diana's life, Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James's Palace and Spencer House, the one-time London home of the Spencer family. The plaques are the work of sculptor Alec Peever, and feature a rose emblem at the centre and are etched in aluminium.
