Princess Charlotte helped to ease the tension between her mum the Duchess of Cambridge and her aunt Meghan Markle, a new book has claimed.
In their biography Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim the two royal women had a strained relationship from the start.
They say it wasn't a falling out as such, more that they were never close as they were very different. Harry introduced his then girlfriend Meghan to his brother and Kate at Kensington Palace a few months into their relationship.
However the book says that Kate is an "extremely guarded person" who keeps a very tight group of friends. But Kate's daughter Charlotte helped to ease the tension between the women due to Meghan's "adoration" of the little Princess.
