Princess Beatrice and Eugenie 'devastated' as planned increase in royal duties 'halted'

Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have been left 'devastated' after the planned ramping up of their royal duties was put on hold.

The pair have been rocked by the scandal currently surrounding their father Prince Andrew. They had been set to increase their duties after Meghan and Harry left the royal family but this is now likely to be placed on hold, according to an expert.

Richard Fitzwilliams stated that the pair would be deeply affected by the ongoing case involving their father, adding that they are a close-knit family, The Mirror reports.And any expansion of their roles will now have to be shelved after the Duke of York was stripped of all military titles and royal patronages , according to the former editor of the 'The International Who's Who' book series.Mr Fitzwilliams said: “The Yorks are a close-knit family and this will be devastating for them.“They only perform a very few royal duties.
