Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Prince William has revealed a sweet detail about his youngest son, Prince Louis ' bedtime routine during his recent appearance at the Buckingham Palace garden party. The 41 year old future king, who was joined by his cousins Princess Eugenie , Princess Beatrice, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall, received a gift from author Rowan Aderyn, a member of William's Homewards foundation.
Sadly, Kate Middleton couldn't join the event as she is currently recovering from her cancer treatment. However, the Duke of Cambridge seemed delighted with the gift from Rowan - a copy of his book, Homewards. "The gift was one that William greatly appreciated," Us Weekly reported, with William telling the author, "This is great, so inspirational.
I'll read this to Louis tonight at bedtime." Interestingly, this isn't the first time William has mentioned reading to his children.
In 2020, he spotted a copy of Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson during a visit to a South Wales ice cream parlour and confessed: "I read this to our children all the time," according to the Daily Mail.
