Prince William couldn't resist sharing a cheeky piece of advice from his youngest child, Prince Louis, to the England football team, suggesting they should "eat twice the amount" during their Euro 2024 campaign.
During his visit to St George's Park on Monday, the doting dad and FA president met with the squad and head coach Gareth Southgate, where he delivered an inspiring speech.
William, 41, recounted his morning routine, saying: "I was on the school run this morning with the children and I said 'What shall I say to the England team today?'" He continued with the humorous guidance from his son: "The best bit of advice I got to ask you was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat." The Prince then added a playful caveat: "So I then had visions of all of you running around with massive great tummies and loads of stitches on the pitch so I think maybe take my youngest's advice with a pinch of salt." England's captain Harry Kane responded in jest to the young royal's tip: "We've got to be careful with that one.
I don't think our nutritionist will be happy with that." In his role as heir to the throne and football enthusiast, William also had the honour of presenting shirts to the 26 players chosen for the Euro 2024 team and discussed their preparations for the upcoming tournament with Southgate.
