Prince William reportedly "sought assurances" that Meghan Markle wouldn't be wearing any of Princess Diana's jewellery for her wedding to Prince Harry, amid concerns about their relationship, according to a shocking new book.

Rumours have been swirling for some time that William was eager for his brother, Prince Harry, to take things slow when he first started seeing former Suits actress Meghan in 2016.

In his own contentious memoir, Spare Harry, he recalls significant tension with his brother during the planning of his wedding.

Now, in a fresh book titled Catherine, The Princess Of Wales: The Biography, author Robert Jobson alleges that the relationship between the two brothers deteriorated further before the 2018 wedding - with William seeking reassurances from their grandmother, the Queen, that Harry's bride-to-be would not wear their late mother's jewellery - despite his wife Kate possessing Diana's stunning sapphire engagement ring.
