Prince William pulls out of memorial service due to 'personal matter'

Prince William had to miss his godfather's memorial service due to a personal matter. The service was for the late King Constantine of Greece and was held at Windsor Castle.Kensington Palace didn't give more details but did say that the Princess of Wales, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, is doing well.William, who was supposed to deliver a reading, called the Greek royal family attending the service in St George's Chapel to let them know he couldn't be there.King Constantine II of Greece, who passed away last January, was William's godfather.Kate is taking a break from official royal duties until after Easter because she had major surgery in January.The King is also not attending the service as he is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.Prince Charles was close to his second cousin, the former Greek monarch.Constantine was a first cousin once removed and sailing buddy of the late Duke of Edinburgh.
