Prince William was all smiles as he appeared with David Beckham to celebrate a milestone event in his royal duties - while Prince Harry also made a charity appearance in the city just hours before. The appearance was in honor of London’s Air Ambulance charity, where the two gathered to celebrate the addition of an essential new helicopter for the air service.

Prince William, 42, gave football superstar David, 49, a personal royal tour of the cockpit, after previously sending him a personal invited to be part of the charity’s campaign to fund the new helicopter.

Becks revealed that he was invited over the phone by the future king, sharing: “It was just an honour to be invited by Prince William to be involved with this.” David explained, referencing his London roots: “I know what this means to Prince William… and the moment he called and asked me, yeah I had to hide my excitement a little bit because like I said, I've been a fan of the London Air Ambulance for a long time, being an East End boy” He added: “These guys rely on public funding, donations, so the fact I could get involved so that we could raise the money that we raised and bought one of these incredible helicopters!

So it's nice to help in a small way.” William and David were seen to share a joke or two as Becks climbed into the cockpit at the meeting in Northolt, West London. They went on to leave their mark, literally, on the new aircraft, by writing a personal message each on the helicopter.
