Prince Louis looked dapper in tartan trousers when he attended the traditional Christmas Day church service at Sandringham. The five-year-old held onto his father Prince William's hand as they joined the rest of the Royal Family for the festive walk to church, before greeting well-wishers with his mother, the Princess of Wales.Sharp-eyed Royal enthusiasts were quick to notice that Louis' trousers looked familiar, sparking speculation that they were a hand-me-down from his older brother, Prince George.

While it was a cherished family moment, it also symbolised the future of the British Monarchy. However, according to Andrew Morton's unauthorised biography, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, the photo led Harry and Meghan to question their place within The Firm.
Morton writes: "The royal couple suspected that the entire institution was conspiring against them. As they saw it, the evidence was all around them." "The unspoken code was straightforward: the future of the monarchy was assured, with or without Meghan and Harry."Just days after the photo was released, Meghan and Harry stunned the globe by announcing on social media their decision to step down from their senior Royal duties.Kate and William previously sent their Christmas greetings by sharing an adorable festive snap of their three children.
