A Royal biographer has reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton are gearing up for an earlier-than-anticipated rise to the throne, as King Charles grapples with ongoing health issues.
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February this year, and promptly began treatment. In the wake of his diagnosis, he reduced his public appearances but remained active behind the scenes, managing paperwork, holding private meetings, and maintaining his weekly sessions with the Prime Minister.The King ascended to the throne after Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022 - a role he had been preparing for over several decades before finally wearing the crown.
Now, just two years later, Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith has claimed that William and Kate could ascend to the throne much sooner than anyone anticipated.
She told People Magazine: "Although the King is carrying out his duties with typical determination, he has had to accept limitations during his cancer treatment.
