Prince Harry is set to bypass a meeting with King Charles during his brief UK visit, in what's being seen as a significant snub.
Reports suggest that while Prince Harry, who jetted in from California and landed in London earlier today, will be attending a service at St Paul's Cathedral tomorrow to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games sporting event he founded for wounded servicemen and women, he won't be catching up with his father.Despite speculation that the Duke of Sussex might use this opportunity to smooth over tensions with King Charles, with whom he shares a strained relationship, it appears their schedules won't align.A spokesperson for Prince Harry commented: "It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme.
The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."The Duke of Sussex's relationship with his father has been notably cool, particularly after the release of his explosive memoir 'Spare', where he didn't hold back on his criticisms of the Royal Family, including sharp words about his stepmother, Queen Camilla.
Nonetheless, sources close to the situation have indicated that King Charles was eager to reunite with his son, who has made his home across the pond in California.
