Prince Harry wants to “leave behind the celebrity nonsense,” it has been claimed. According to a royal commentator, the Duke Of Sussex is keen to be known as a “serious philanthropic player” having stepped down from his senior royal role in January 2020.
Prince Harry, who recently celebrated his milestone 40th birthday, is reportedly keen to shed the celebrity image and focus on his philanthropic efforts.
Speaking to The Times, royal commentator Tom Sykes said: “Speaking to sources close to Harry, it's quite clear that he wants to leave behind the celebrity nonsense, recover his reputation as an honest dealer and become known as a serious philanthropic player.” He also claimed that Harry does not “want his old royal life back” and that he is loving the California lifestyle he has with his Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, when it comes to his career, the bright lights of Hollywood aren't where Harry sees his future, Tom claimed. “He undoubtedly would like to reoccupy the space he briefly held on stage at the Clinton Initiative, and will hold again at WellChild,” he said. “However, it's going to be incredibly difficult to transform back into a credible quasi-royal unless he reconciles with the crown,” reports the Express. The Duke Of Sussex stepped back into the spotlight on Monday, 30 September for his charity work at the WellChild Awards, which happened in London.
