Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received a warm invite from Charles Spencer to join him at Althorp House over Christmas – but a disagreement between the couple has reportedly put plans on ice.

A source told the Express that while Harry, is keen to spend time in the UK over the festive period, the Duchess continues to have worries their protection.

It's even claimed the situation has become so bad that it could prove a turning point in the couple's six year marriage. "Harry is keen for the Sussexes to spend time in the UK this Christmas with family," the source said. "However, there are still concerns lingering over their security." If Meghan decides she's up for the UK return - which looks unlikely at this point - she'd be setting foot on British soil for the first time since the Queen Elizabeth's funeral last year.

Harry reportedly hasn't been invited to the Royal Family's Christmas festivities this year, although he would unlikely attend even if he was.
