Prince Harry is using his charities to "boost his own personal image and reputation", a PR expert has claimed. The Duke of Sussex is well known for his charitable endeavours with the 39-year-old co-founding Sentebale with Prince Seesio of Lesotho back in 2006 before he founded the Invictus Games in 2014.

The prince is also very involved in campaigning for mental health, the Diana Award and the Well Child Awards. However, since his shock exit from the Royal Family in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle, the duke has seemed to turn his attention to other matters after relocating to America. The couple have made a number of very public attacks against the Firm since their departure, starting with a bombshell interview in 2021 with Oprah Winfrey, the Mirror reports. This was then followed by their six-part Netflix docuseries which went into detail about their negative experiences in the Royal Family and the death blow which was Harry's tell-all memoir Spare which was released at the beginning of this year.

After all this, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer on speaking terms with the Firm and their attacks on the monarchy seemed to backfire on their own reputation.Renowned PR Strategist and Mentor at PR with Perkes, Laura Perkes claims that she feels as though Harry is "using" his platforms to "boost" his own personal image which she says is very sad.She told the Mirror: "Harry has done some amazing things with the Invictus Games and for publicly opening up about mental health" adding "but sadly it now feels as though he's using these platforms to boost his own personal image and reputation, which is sad."
