Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

The date for Prince Harry's next visit to the UK has been unveiled, as he is set to attend a deeply meaningful event quite soon.Harry is confirmed to take part in the WellChild charity's annual awards ceremony in London as its patron on Monday, September 30.

With a 16-year patronage, Harry has consistently supported the organisation that offers assistance to critically ill children and their kin.The prince makes regular appearances at the charity's awards evening, having also attended last year's function where he will this year hand out one of the prestigious awards to an inspiring winner, as well as deliver a speech.

In anticipation of the event, Harry remarked: "I am once again honoured to attend this year's WellChild Awards celebrating the remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs."These incredible young people, along with the dedicated caregivers, nurses, and professionals who tirelessly support them, inspire us all.
