Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made some huge changes to their lives in recent years but have still retained one major link to the Firm since sensationally quitting the Royal Family.The couple no longer officially represent the monarchy but have chosen to keep their royal titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which were granted to them by the late Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day back in 2018.Harry and Meghan have continued to use the styles to this day despite their ongoing feud with the royals and on a recent visit to an ice hockey match in Canada, their names appeared on the big screen along with their titles.Many have questioned why they haven't been stripped of their styles, especially as they are no longer senior working royals, the Mirror reports.In addition to this, since quitting the Firm, the couple have also made a number of shocking allegations against their royal relatives in an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey followed by their bombshell Netflix docuseries and in the duke's controversial memoir Spare.In the aftermath of these attacks, the Royal Family are said to have discussed stripping their titles "at the highest level".However, while promoting Spare in an interview with Anderson Cooper on US TV earlier this year, the duke was directly asked why he and Meghan had chosen to not give up their titles, especially since the pair had railed against their treatment while in the Royal Family.
In response to the question, Harry issued a blunt six-word explanation to the question as he replied: "And what difference would that make?" Mr Cooper added: "One of the criticisms that you've received is that okay, fine, you wanna move to California, you wanna step back from the institutional role.
