Prince Harry was close to hosting hit US sketch show Saturday Night Live, according to reports. The Duke of Sussex, 38, was said to have held talks with producers of the popular NBC programme in the run up to the release of his explosive book Spare in January.
Prince Harry would have followed in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton if he had presented the show - but the discussions were said to have stalled at the eleventh hour.
But producers of the show are still keen to make it happen, it has been reported. Harry embarked on a promotional blitz of TV shows in the UK and the US as he sought to plug his memoir - which went on to become the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever on its release, with the English language edition selling more than 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication.
Speaking about the possibility of Harry hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL), a source told Page Six: “I know that Harry was all in, he was really serious about doing it — and it would have been great fun as promo for the book. “SNL producers have been after Harry for a while.
