The ex royal aide served Her Majesty as her personal footman for over a decade and the late Queen affectionately referred to him as "Small Paul" to distinguish him from a taller footman known as "Tall Paul".
Paul was the Queen’s faithful servant until he left in 1987 to serve Princess Diana as her butler.Burrell told the Mirror: “All the family dearly loved our Queen, and they will all be remembering her in their own particular way."She was a mother, a granny, a great granny to all of them.
And they all miss her. Even Harry and Meghan, in Los Angeles will be thinking about the Queen on her anniversary because Harry was a particular favourite.”Burrell claims he had "communication" with the Queen until her final days and knows the unique challenges that she faced in her last years. The Queen was always known to keep her family close and was distraught when her grandson Prince Harry dramatically left the royal family just two years before her death.
