Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are heading to New York for a pivotal summit on mental health under the Archewell Foundation, which was founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back in 2020 in a bid to drive changes across the nation.The Archewell Foundation's Parents' Summit will focus on addressing the ways social media is affecting young people's mental health - as the former working royals have invited along parents who tragically lost their children due to negative social media usage.It comes as the couple's first-ever event under the non-profit organisation to be delivered by the pair in person, so it is suspected to be a key milestone with the focus on the pair as they deliver it in the Big Apple.Public relations expert Jane Owen believes that this is a great opportunity for them.
She told The Mirror: "I’m extremely glad to see that they are stepping up and showing up for this event. Their attendance brings a huge amount of National and International attention to an extremely important cause."She believes that their appearance at the event will be key to improving their public image, which has been blighted with negativity over recent months, but warns the move should not be all down to a 'positive PR spin.'
