Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed plans to visit Colombia, a country notorious for high rates of kidnapping and murder.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to embark on the trip later this year, despite both UK and US governments advising tourists to "reconsider" travel to the region due to terrorism and kidnapping risks.
This announcement comes in spite of Harry's repeated claims that he perceives the UK as too dangerous for his family to visit.Over the past four years, Harry has been embroiled in a legal battle with the UK government over their decision to withdraw their 24/7 police protection team.
Despite losing his case, he was granted permission to appeal the decision in June.Meanwhile, the Vice President of Colombia has extended an invitation to the Royal couple to visit Bogota, Cartagena and Cali in November.
