In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face 'disaster' over Netflix cancellation, royal expert says

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing “disaster” after their new Netflix series has been cancelled, according to a royal expert.The Duchess of Sussex’s series, Pearl, has been dropped by the streaming service as part of a series of cutbacks.

Deadline reported that due to a drop in subscriber numbers, Netflix are making several cuts including some which impact Meghan and Harry's project.

Commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo has since claimed: “That's a complete disaster for Harry and Meghan and Archewell Productions. “Netflix is having big problems with a dip in subscriber numbers, falling revenues, a plummeting share price, having spent too much on other programmes and is cutting back, particularly on animated series." Speaking on GB News, he continued: “So whilst Prince Harry's Invictus documentary is carrying on, there is nothing for Meghan to show for it and it's really calling into question whether they can walk the walk - they're good at talking the talk. “They signed up to Spotify, but they've only produced one podcast so far. “The Netflix deal has been going] for over a year now and there's very little to show for it and it looks as if, apart from moaning about the royals, there's not much that they're able to do.” Meghan was signed on as an executive producer for the animated show Pearl, alongside David Furnish.The series was due to be centred around the adventures of a 12 year old girl who finds inspiration in a variety of influential women throughout history.
