Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been asked to 'vacate' their UK residence Frogmore Cottage the couple have said tonight.
It comes just weeks after the publication of Harry's memoir Spare. Reports have claimed the request for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to give up the Royal residence close to Windsor Castle, which will remove their remaining foothold in the UK and weaken ties with the Royal Family, was sanctioned by King Charles.A spokesperson for the couple said: “We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.” READ MORE: BREAKING Remains found by officers searching for Constance Marten and Mark Gordon's two month-old baby The late Queen gifted Frogmore Cottage to Harry and Meghan in the months after their wedding back in 2018.
It was converted into one home, having previously been five separate properties for staff working on the Windsor Estate. According to the Mirror the whole renovation cost £2.4million and the property is thought to have five bedrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room and a nursery first designed for their son Archie.
The Sussexes only lived in the cottage for six months before sensationally quitting as working royals and moving to California.
