Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Prince George was spotted having a whale of a time as he sang along to Sir Rod Stewart singing Sweet Caroline. George, eight, was accompanied by his younger sister Charlotte, seven, and his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the Party at the Palace. The family were, of course, sat in the Royal box alongside the likes of Prince Charles and Camila, Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie, and Zara Tindall.
During this evening’s festivities for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, young George was spotted singing to the hit song, as Prince William enthusiastically did so as well.
Earlier on in the evening, the father and son shared a sweet moment as William appeared to show George how to wear cufflinks.
As the family sat down in their front-row seats the camera panned across the many faces in the Royal box, and showed William chatting to his eldest son and demonstrating how to wear the smart attire staple.
