The City of York has decided to revoke Prince Andrew’s Freedom of the City status after he was accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre.
The Duke of York, 62, who was friends with the late Jeffrey Epstein, reached a financial settlement with Virginia earlier this year – meaning the prince avoided court.
Andrew had a civil case against him filed by Virginia, 38, in August last year, alleging he had sexually assaulted her when she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein.
While the Queen’s son continuously denied the allegations, it’s undeniably damaged the royal’s reputation, with some branding it as “impossible” for him to bounce back from it.
