A BBC presenter has left the broadcaster after appearing to call the company "the devil" in a coronavirus denial Whatsapp group and attending anti-lockdown marches, as well as admitting to drink-driving.
Jemma Cooper is no longer working for the BBC and when approached as to why the weather reporter isn't a BBC employee, by Bristol Live, a spokesperson for the BBC declined to comment on the reason for her departure but told: "Jemma no longer works for the BBC." The Mirror has approached the BBC for further comment.
Jemma - who worked on the BBC's A Point West - leaving her role comes after she was found to have twice the legal amount of alcohol in her system while driving her Fiat 500 on Clifton Down Road in Bristol on August 31.
