Premier League vote to prevent releasing players for international matches

Premier League clubs have unanimously decided not to release their players for the upcoming international break following 'crisis' talks.There were concerns from the clubs that players could miss up to six matches while in quarantine following the international break.Currently, individuals who are returning to the UK from a red list country must quarantine for 10 days.Over the two international breaks in October and November players traveling to red list countries would have had to quarantine, when returning back to the UK, for 20 days.In a statement the Premier League said: "The clubs' decision, which is strongly supported by the Premier League, will apply to nearly 60 players from 19 Premier League clubs who are due to travel to 26.
