Premier League referees have reportedly changed the offside law following last week’s controversy in Manchester City’s win over Aston Villa.There were plenty of questions asked following City’s first goal with Rodri coming from an offside position before tackling Tyrone Mings.Rodri passed to Bernardo Silva who went on to fire past Emiliano Martinez in the Aston Villa goal.The goal stood as the law stated: “A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, including by deliberate handball, is not considered to have gained an advantage, unless it was a deliberate save by any opponent.”Though the Daily Mail report that the law is now being adjusted and would see City’s goal ruled.
