Pregnant influencer dies of dengue fever after complaining of 'shortness of breath'

A 22-year-old influencer who was seven months pregnant has tragically died from the viral mosquito-borne illness dengue fever in Brazil.

Sofia Amorim died on Wednesday 27 March after suffering multiple organ failure, despite the best efforts of medics in Goiânia to save her and her unborn baby's life.

It was reported in the Mirror that friends of Sofia have said the star had earlier complained of being short of breath. Sofia had more than 6,000 followers on social media, and regularly shared beauty content as well as glamorous snaps of her and her pregnant belly.

But since the tragic announcement of her death, posts have been flooded with comments from people shocked by her premature death.
