Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service responded to the emergency call on Ketco Avenue at approximately 12:40pm on Monday November 11).
Upon arrival, they found the cow in water depths of between 2ft and 3ft and proceeded to drain the pool. Using a downer cow harness, designed to protect the animal's udders, the technical rescue crew managed to hoist the cow to safety.
After the ordeal, which lasted over three hours with the crew leaving just before 4pm, a vet was called to check on its health.
