Portugal is favourite to host both the Champions League and Europa League Finals later this summer. UEFA has settled on two cities to play out their major competitions.
The stage seems set for the Champions League to be finished in a 10-day block of fixtures with the final scheduled to be at the Estadio da Luz, home to Benfica, in Lisbon on August 23.
That will be of interest to Manchester City while Manchester United, Wolves and Rangers will also be heading to Iberia, but to the city of Porto to contest the Europa League Final.
The Champions League Final was originally supposed to be played in Istanbul at the Ataturk Stadium, the scene of Liverpool ’s famous fightback against AC Milan in 2005.
